Nero 2018: improved media library, more correction features.

Nero brings with Nero 2018, the new version of its multimedia package for managing, cutting, burning and playing video material with manageable innovations.

Nero has always pursued the goal of offering its customers a complete solution for video production with its multimedia suite. The manufacturer concentrates since the last versions increasingly on the streaming of media content to various devices.

There are still two versions of the Standard and Platinum Suite versions. The former is also extended by the new "1-click removal" of black borders. Thus, videos and photos in the wrong picture format around the black bars "facilitate". In addition, the media library is optimized: so large film collections are still easy to organize and play, as well as film posters and further information can be displayed. The films may be streamed directly from the computer to the TV or played via the "Nero Streaming Player App" on the mobile device. The suite variant is extended here to further functions and can deal with about 4K video material.

New is the "Nero DuplicateManager Photo" which finds duplicate photos and removes them if desired. He then displays an overview of which content can be safely deleted.

The Vertical Video Ready video editor allows you to customize and edit videos in vertical format, such as smartphones, even on multiple tracks, so that you can view the contents correctly afterwards, and Nero presents a host of new vertical design features. But also the general movie templates are expanded and new video disc menus for DVDs and Blu-ray with onboard 360-degree photos showing the newly integrated 360-degree photo player.

With Nero BackItUp is now also access to data that was backed up using a previous version of Nero BackItUp, feasible. With the free app Nero BackItUp you can also secure mobile data including phone data and messages. From now on, Nero will also provide the free apps Nero Streaming Player App, Nero MediaHome WiFi Sync App and Nero AirBurn App via iTunes and Google PlayStore.
